The online Event Launch of the Chair was organized in three sessions, as reported in the Event Agenda.

During the first session, the Rector, the Director of the Department of Mechanical, Energy, Management and Transport Engineering and the Vice-Rector for the Sustainabilty at  made a welcome speech, underlining the importance of the Sustainability topic for the University of Genoa.

In the second session, the Chair Holder (Prof. Aristide Fausto Massardo) presented the Chair Program, then several members of the Network (ITA-Brazil, UVIC-Spain, ASU - Arizona, Strathmore-Kenya, UPM-Spain, DLR-Germany, NARC-Jordan) introduced the skills of their research centers in the frmework of clean energy and sustainability.

The third session, opened by the presentation Is maritime sector ready for an innovative, sustainable, and clean future? , was characterised by a Round Table with internationally recognized experts in energy and sustainability, such as RINA-Italy, NETL Department of Energy - USA, ERG- Italy, Parque Tecnológico Itaipu - Paraguay, European Turbine Network, Rolls-Royce- UK.
